Welcome to the one-year anniversary issue of West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle! It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since our first issue arrived in homes. Last November we launched West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle with a mission to engage and inspire our communities, raise awareness of local charities and help area businesses grow. We thank you, our faithful readers, for welcoming us into your homes each month and helping us to accomplish these goals.
Some of you might be reading West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle for the first time. In honor of our one-year anniversary we have expanded our distribution. So if this is your first issue, we welcome you!
I want to express my personal gratitude to our advertising partners. West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle is delivered for free to our readers each month, thanks to the support of our advertisers. These area businesses help shape the character of our townships and strengthen the local economy. The best way for our readers to thank them for making this magazine possible is to read their ads and visit their businesses.
I’d also like to thank our amazing editorial team for the inspirational stories and beautiful photographs they contribute each month. I’m honored to work with such a talented group of people, and I’m thrilled to have Liberty Township native, Abbey McMahon, by my side as our Editor.
However, our team isn’t the only one celebrating an anniversary. Throughout this month’s issue you’ll find stories about our community’s anniversaries. We celebrate the 40th anniversary of the West Chester • Liberty Chamber Alliance and the 225th anniversary of our neighbor to the west, Hamilton. We talk with two local couples, one celebrating their golden anniversary while another celebrates their first.
November also brings a very important date, Veteran’s Day. We want to thank all of our veterans and active military personnel who have served our county bravely and selflessly. Inside this issue we remember a local fallen hero, Corey Hood. We also provide details on a local resource, the Butler County Veterans Service Commission.
We have great plans for our second year, and we can’t wait for you to see what lies ahead. Thank you for making West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle your hometown magazine. We look forward to celebrating many future anniversaries together!
