Learning The Notes Of Patsy Rabinowitz.
Since opening West Chester Academy (WCA) 10 years ago, Patsy and Paul Rabinowitz have grown to a team of more than 50 musicians, dancers, actors, gymnasts and support staff whose primary focus is to give back to the next generation of musicians and artists. West Chester Academy specializes in beginners of all ages and offers training through pre-professional levels. We spoke with Patsy, who is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati of the College Conservatory, to learn more about her love of music and the arts.
“West Chester Academy consumes most of my time as well as that of my husband, Paul. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to work side by side in a business that we are passionate about. It is a labor of love for us both.”
“Since childhood, I have loved being a musician. Much like the author of the book Everything I need to know, I learned in Kindergarten, I learned most of my life skills on the piano bench…The gift of music I was given as a young child has opened up amazing doors to me and shaped my life in profound ways.”

“We never dreamed when we moved into our new facility two years ago, that we would have grown to the point that we now need to add on more space. However, our big project this summer is building an addition on to the back of our building. As an architect, Paul’s contribution to the business has been the design of the building and the new addition that fundamentally impacts the success of the business.”
“Paul and I have two grown children, a son-in-law and three grandchildren. Nothing makes us light up like our family! Before being grandparents, we had no idea how fun and rewarding it would be. When not working, traveling or attending church functions, our favorite pastime is doing things with the family.”
