Sneak peek of the annual Home Expo at Carriage Hill

We all know how busy weekends are this time of year. Between fall sports, errands and home projects, the “to-do list” can start to feel never-ending. If you know this feeling, then we have the perfect event for you. The second annual West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle Home Expo at Carriage Hill will be held on Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it can serve as your one-stop-shop to check off many of the items on that proverbial to-do list.

The Home Expo begins in the adult clubhouse, The Terry Gatehouse, near the main entrance to the sprawling, master-planned community—Carriage Hill. Many of our advertising partners will be on-site to meet our readers and help you accomplish some of the items on your weekend checklist. We’ll have vendors in the home services industry, medical teams, financial experts, pet services and more. Throughout the day they’ll be giving out over $2,500 in prizes.

Visitors can also enjoy pop-up shops from some of your favorite local stores. Students from West Chester Academy will be providing music throughout the day, and attendees will even be able to paint a bowl for the upcoming C3 Empty Bowls event.

If one of the items on your checklist is to return or check out library books, you’re in luck. The MidPointe Library Bookmobile will be on-site from 10 a.m. to noon.

After exploring the clubhouse, guests can tour the spectacular model homes from Justin Doyle, M/I Homes and Arthur Rutenberg. Whether you’re in the market for a new home or just looking for inspiration to spruce up your place, this tour is sure to please all.

Just a short walk from the clubhouse is the $949,900 Justin Doyle model home. Set in The Wynn’s at Cypress Village section of Carriage Hill, this low-maintenance luxury courtyard home is perfect for an empty nester looking for upscale elegance. Every detail is immaculate, from the striking curved ceilings to the fun and functional basement recreation room.

From there, visitors can travel via tractor or private car to the brand-new M/I Homes model home in the newest section of The Enclave at Cypress Village, just a short walk from the Carriage Hill Commons village area. This 3,815 square foot home has four exquisitely decorated bedrooms and a fully finished basement. The spacious kitchen, great room and master bedroom all boast peaceful views of a pond in the backyard.

The final stop on the tour will bring guests to the stunning new $1,124,900 Arthur Rutenberg model home. The grand French country exterior opens to a contemporary floor plan than includes an elegant curved bar and wine room right off the great room. The lower level is a full of surprises with a theater, billiard room, wet bar and workout room with a floor to ceiling glass wall.

As an added bonus, families who visit all three model homes will receive a $10 gift card to Shooters Sports Bar and Grille, the family-friendly restaurant that opened in Carriage Hill Commons last fall (limited to one gift card per family for the first 100 families).

This event is free of charge, but we do ask that visitors make a suggested donation of $5 per person to EDGE Teen Center, whose volunteers will graciously be guiding visitors throughout the day.

We hope you’ll join us for a fun day of exploring all the beauty that Carriage Hill has to offer and meeting many of the businesses that help make this magazine possible.
