January marks the beginning of not only a new calendar year, but also the opportunity for setting personal goals. Perhaps you’ve resolved to exercise more regularly, take up a new hobby or volunteer for a local organization.

Whatever your goals may be, we hope the people, businesses and even pets featured in this issue will inspire you to focus on wellness in the new year.

This month we spotlight four Lakota student athletes who are raising the bar in their sport. We also spoke with two area moms who took their fitness to a new level by entering a body building competition for the first time. You’ll also meet Bella, a therapy dog who brings joy to local hospitals, nursing homes and schools. If financial health is at the top of your list, learn from a local financial expert, Michael Corna. These are just a few of the wellness stories you’ll find inside this issue.

While diet and exercise are vital to your physical health, overall wellness includes your mental health as well. This month, we at West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle encourage you to live your best life by taking care of yourself both inside and out.

We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!
