New retirement community opening in West Chester in early 2019

Finding the right place to live after retirement can be a tough decision. Whether you’re searching for yourself or a loved one, you likely want to find a community that promotes aging with comfort and dignity. A new option for assisted living and memory care is coming to West Chester in February, and they live by this mantra: “Age fearlessly. Live colorfully.”

Located on Hamilton-Mason Road, West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care will offer an exemplary environment for seniors seeking a vibrant lifestyle in Butler County. With an emphasis on independence and high-quality, professional care, the goal of this community is to engage residents’ spirits and brighten their days, every day.

“Lifestyle is one of the most important factors when it comes to finding the perfect retirement community. Much of what is available to seniors today focuses on a perceived notion of what a resident ‘can’t do,’” explains William Swearingen, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “We challenge those who choose to live at West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care to be engaged in their life, to be adventurous, and to rethink what assisted living and memory care can be.”

When residents walk through the doors, they will find a lifestyle that balances activity, independence and support, according to Swearingen. The community will offer a variety of innovative wellness programs to stay fit and healthy, as well as a personal beauty salon, day spa, outdoor gardens and more. Perhaps one of the most unique offerings is the community’s social calendar. West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care will encourage residents to socialize with new friends, enjoy new cultural experiences, and become part of the community through their entertainment and programming calendar, updated monthly.

West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care will have 68 apartment homes dedicated to assisted living and 32 apartment homes dedicated to memory care. Assisted Living offers assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) while complementing the independence of residents’ desire with the quality of personal care they deserve. The Memory Care program provides a specifically designed neighborhood for those living with various forms of cognitive deficit that maximizes their functional independence.

This balance of personal care and assistance, while allowing for continued independence, is one of the staples of West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care.

“Knowing that we believe strongly in a complete lifestyle full of choices is exciting for those considering their retirement community,” Swearingen says.

And the choices are plentiful. From a flexible dining program, prepared fresh by a chef each day, to social activities and beyond, residents are encouraged to make choices in order to live a vibrant life.

“Our unique approach is designed to engage residents in meaningful daily activities which add intention and purpose each day,” Swearingen explains.
