Register Your Business As Exhibitor at Lakota Summer Fun Fair

Lakota will be holding its seventh annual Summer Fun Fair in March. The fair is a great way for parents to learn about the many local businesses and nonprofit organizations who provide summer programming for students in grades K-12. Vendors range from summer camps, learning centers and childcare facilities to athletic leagues, art programs and local parks and recreation. They will be available all at one time and in one location to share information and answer questions about their summer offerings.

To register your organization as an exhibitor at the fair, please contact Cindy Zahneis at or at 513.644.1203. Any for-profit or nonprofit organization offering summer activities for youth is welcome to participate. Activities and services can be educational or recreational and should pertain to students in grades K-12. The Lakota Summer Fun Fair will be held on two dates: March 4 and March 6 from 6-8 p.m.

West Chester Named Top Place to Live in Ohio

West Chester has been ranked number one in the state of Ohio. Money Magazine recently released a new list naming the “Best Places to Live in Every State” and West Chester topped the list for Ohio. Money Magazine calls West Chester “a quintessential family community—and an affordable one.” West Chester has ranked in the magazine’s top 100 communities across the country seven times, including the 38th spot in 2018.

The magazine, a publication of Time, Inc., narrows the field of eligible communities based on independent data collection and then gathers more subjective information from a visit to the community and interviews with residents. West Chester was the only Ohio community to make the national list in 2018. “Money Magazine highlights the demographics that make West Chester such a wonderful place to live, but those who live here know the story runs even deeper,” said Larry D. Burks, Township Administrator. “More than 60,000 residents and 3,500 businesses give West Chester a unique point of view as a vibrant community with great heart.”

February is Pet Dental Health Month

The key to your pet’s long and healthy life is a healthy body and immune system. A healthy mouth leads to a long, happy life. It is far greater to prevent oral disease than to ‘treat’ oral disease, such as pain, infection and tooth loss (less costly as well). A thorough yearly oral exam will help keep you informed of your pet’s dental health. Visit Animal Hospital of West Chester for special dental offers during the month of February.
