April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month

“Teens learn risky driving habits from parents,” says a recent insurance study. Distractions inside and outside of the auto can be dangerous, especially to inexperienced drivers. Butler County Safe Communities encourages parents to discuss the expectations of their young driver(s) behind the wheel, but, more importantly, to model good behavior.

The month of April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Primarily through a social media campaign throughout the month, Butler County Safe Communities will promote the messages of “U Drive, U Text, U Pay” and “Stay Alive! Don’t TXT & Drive.” Traffic-related fatalities are the number one leading cause of death in the U.S. for teenagers. Be a part of the solution. You can join the Safe Communities Coalition by contacting Carol Lucio at 513.630.3070. Stay safe! SafetyCouncilSWOhio.org/butler-county-safe-communities.html
